Our Heart: Revival in the Canary Islands
Hechos en Canarias is a ministry of YWAM Canarias with the goals of seeing a heart for the gospel burn in the hearts of the Canarian youth, promote church unity in the body of Christ in the Islands, and provide missions opportunities in the Canary Islands and abroad. We want to see the youth of the Islands come away with a passion to see the Islands, and the world, transformed by the love of Jesus Christ. We believe God wants to touch the nations through the Canary Islands, and so revival begins here. Hechos en Canarias offers evangelism/missions training/opportunities beginning in the Canary Islands, in Spain, and to the ends of the Earth.
What do we do?
Hechos en Canarias is primarily an evangelism/missions training program, and so involves both training and going. We offer workshops and different training sessions on evangelism and missions, where we learn and grow together in how to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in different forms and methods, while remaining faithful to the core teachings which unite us in Christ. Then, we'll go out together to share and put in practice all of what we were learning. The goal is to go out together, unified in the gospel, to share creatively and boldly. To allow the gospel, the power of God for salvation, to work in the hearts of the people here in the Canary Islands. Both in those who hear and in those who share.
Our heart is to bless the local churches of the Islands, so the trainings and outreaches are free within the Island and open to all who would like to participate. Those who would like to participate in the outreaches of another Island, as of now the trips are geared towards empowering the youth of the Islands, and so the age range would be 15 and up. The general cost of trips would be 20 euros a day for Canary Island residents, and 30 euros a day for non-residents. The cost is towards housing/food/travel/evangelism resources, but does not include travel to/from the Island. Any money that remains after an outreach is put towards a scholarship fund for Canary Island residents who would like to do a DTS (Discipleship Training School) with YWAM.
Get Involved
If we want to see a movement of God we need to be prepared to move with God. While we as YWAM Canarias are currently located in Gran Canaria, the goal is to offer in all the Islands of the archipelago. To move with God as He directs the outreaches. If you are interested in training or getting involved with the outreaches, please get in contact with us.
